morning run:
Alice
Lucy
Ginger
Chester
Ernie
Shirley
Posey
(7)
So good they made me proud. The Brethren were lurking in the bushes near the head of the trail, due to Elewah. Only Ernie went over to say hi, and he came right back when I called. Better, La Diabla's goat herd was 20m south down from where the trail meets the shrimpery road, and all of them just came when I called them and did not harass them even a little bit. A bit further out in the monte some people were running a generator and salt loader right on the road we were on, and although I had to go back and lead the sisters and Posey around it, Ernie went back and forth with me and didn't bark a single time.
evening walk:
Zasu
Miles
(2)
All kinds of craziness in the monte due to Elewah being in heat.
morning run:
George
Oscar
Otto
Archie
Reggie
Truman
Rufus
Greta
(8)
Too many but they did not make me pay for it. We ran into The Brethren out there near the beginning (again could not see them but they could see us from across a charco), and everyone was good. Archie has a slight limp now, didn't at the start.
evening walk:
Zasu
Maggie
(2)
Called early due to Elewah and the Brethren's traveling love show.
morning run:
Gracie
Bette
Ernie
Tuesday
Gowron
Blue
Eve
(7)
Good group, long run. Tuesday wiggled out of her (too large) collar at the gate, but she waited for me at the shrimpery intersection and didn't fuss about being put back on. I let her off to run around out in no-man's land, but otherwise she was on the leash the whole way, and behaved herself. Ernie may finally be over his insane vehicle-induced behavior.
evening walk:
Zasu
Miles
Henry
Jack
Lily
(5 + 1)
Boscha went along the whole way, so that's the plus one. Miles was his usual a-hole self at the start.
morning run:
Alice
Lucy
Ginger
Ernie
Reggie
Rufus
Osita
Godzilla
(8)
Really good group - a happy vibe. Went for a relatively short one compared to other recent runs, but it is starting to get hot earlier, and anyway sometimes that's better since you can pick up the pace a bit. Everyone had a good time.
evening walk:
Zasu
Lily
Jack
(3)
A lot of brouhaha at the gate to start with, but in the end good.
morning run:
Shirley
Oscar
Otto
Chester
Ernie
Frankie
Frijolita
(7)
Everyone was great. Frankie was on and off the leash and behaved herself. Was a long one.
afternoon walk:
Zasu
Henry
Tito
Ziggy
Maggie
Gowron
Tuesday
Jack
Lily
(9)
Gowron was pretty bad to begin with - not listening, mainly. Tuesday was on the leash to start with, but was given probationary freedom so that her little sister could be drug around in chains (Roni subsequently foraged a bush-leash for us, which came in handy later). The puplings were good and happy to pal around with Tuesday, who then decided to break bad at the end and bolt for the soldier's intersection where she usually does... She was reigned in and brought to justice (trans.: bush leash). On the trail home Elewah joined us, like she'd been there the whole time.
morning run:
Alice
Lucy
Ginger
Greta
Ernie
Gracie
Bette
Posey
(8)
More than usual, but a good group. Rainy, cold and windy: perfect for a longish one with the chubbies. Ernie had a chance to chase a car early on and he did not because I told him not to.
morning run:
George
Ernie
Oscar
Otto
Rufus
Truman
Blue
(7)
Good group. We ran into The Brethern out there next to the concrete hut, but no hostilities were exchanged; Ernie and Otto did charge off to give their warmest regards for about 5min, but everyone else stayed with me (and honestly Ernie can use the exercise).
afternoon walk:
Zasu
Miles
Henry
Ziggy
Gowron
(5)
Little angels.
morning run:
Bette
Ernie
Frankie
Reggie
Rita
Eve
(6)
Worked with Frankie the whole way on and off the leash. Went fairly long, everyone was good.
morning run:
Alice
Lucy
Ernie
Greta
Gracie
Shirley
Chester
(7)
Ginger hasn't been feeling well the last couple of days, so she skipped. Went fairly long, especially for Greta. Everyone was good.
morning run:
Oscar
Otto
Rufus
Gowron
Godzilla
Frijolita
Osita
(7)
Went a bit late. Everyone was stellar.
morning run:

Tuesday
(7)
Tuesday was on the leash the whole way, and was good about it. We crossed paths with a group of army soldiers running out of the monte as we were going in, and everyone behaved perfectly. Especially Ernie. Just like little soldiers.
afternoon walk:
Zasu
Henry
(2)
morning run:
Gracie
Bette
George
Truman
Eve
Blue
Posey
Gowron
(8)
All very good. Was long for George, but he's a trooper.
afternoon run:
Alice
Lucy
Ginger
Oscar
Otto
Archie
Ernie
(7)
Left on the beach but it was too damned windy, so we came back via the monte. Everyone was good.
afternoon run:
Gracie
Shirley
Chester
Rita
Eve
(5)
Stormy day, went late, hit the beach at the end and came home that way. Rita seemed to be having some kind of problem with her front left paw. Must watch her.
morning run:
Greta
Reggie
Rufus
Henry
Maggie
Posey
Godzilla
(7)
Once again, they all behaved themselves. I had Rufus on and off the leash a bit to work with him, and he was a champ. Greta and Maggie were a bit slow, but we're all out of shape from the long illness-induced break. No bugs for the first time in 8 or 9 months.
afternoon walk (aborted):
Zasu
Miles
Ziggy
(3)
Miles is a total asshole. He simply won't move his little ass, and the whole thing became about yelling for Miles. Zasu got fed up and went home before we barely went anywhere. Miles should not come on walks unless both of us are there, he's too much of a jerk.
morning run:
Alice
Lucy
Ginger
Chester
Frankie
Frijolita
(6)
Once again extremely good. Alice kept up, Frankie was good about the leash. We ran into The Wild Bunch (Rufus' sibs) out there in the monte, and everyone was good... just a lot of harumphing and then we continued on our way.
truck dog:
April
(1)
Good girl.
