What a trooper. He's getting stronger in the water every day, and standing up more and more on his own now on dry land as well. I'm sure the two things are related.

April was on the leash 90% of the way. Ginger barked at people a little too much, but it wasn't serious. They were all very good, including the ones who stayed home.

Pretty good, but when we came out to the beach at Au Soleil Couchant there were some locals there beachcombing and Rufus barked at them; I should've had him on the leash before we hit the beach, given that the tide is so low. My bad. Ziggy got tired a bit and I had to carry him a hundred meters or so up to the beach.

Once again rough seas and heavy undertow, perhaps the worst yet. Only did 5 laps because it was so rough, but each lap counted double it was so hard. The best news is that about an hour later George sat up by himself for the first time and almost managed to stand up. This is working.

Once again George did very well, doing 10 laps this time with a fairly serious undertow, in very deep (for us) water, farther out than usual. Also once again Zig could not contain himself and had to come out and get me. Ziggy should be TIRED tonight.

One more than normal recently, but they were all good. I kept Rufus on the leash a lot just because he needs it, and he did very well. He let me put him on and take him off several times and behaved himself throughout. No flamingos at all.

Did 6-7 laps this time, and longer ones; was tired on the last one. Tried to stand up a little after each lap on the shore where the water was still supporting most of his weight. In good spirits.

Alice simply will not keep up, and not because she can't. She just won't, and it disrupts everything. Eve got scared because I was yelling for Alice to CATCH UP and then Eve didn't want to go, either. We aborted after barely 1km. Alice cannot go on runs anymore, she has to be trained to stop screwing around and keep up without being yelled at. Everyone got gypped.

I haven't been writing down truck dog duty but I'm going to start, because even though it isn't exercise it is very good for them. April was a dream; we went into the market where there were dogs and children and all kinds of things happening and she was good. No leash.

This run took three tries to get off the ground. Originally Otto was not on the list. The first time out George came up lame before we even got to the shrimpery. It appears that his front right shoulder is bothering him a little, I don't know why. We had to circle back and I ended up carrying him home down the beach from the Maginot line (heavy dog). The second time out Eve didn't come for some reason, and once again we were struck by a foul discovery at the cursed shrimpery: Godzilla had disappeared, and she had started out with us. Once again we came back, only to find her at the gate barking at the little black stray dog down the street. Despair was upon me, but Roni convinced me that I should go out again for the good of the pack and the sanctity of her morning time (good of the pack). The third time we ditched Eve, Godzilla and George (obviously), and added Otto instead (sanctity of morning). Good call. Went the normal short loop through the shire and down to the beach at au soleil couchant. Everyone was good. Writing this note took longer than the actual run.
