Strange south/north loop: ~7k. I started out thinking we would do the southern charcos but then after we turned south from the land bridge I remembered: we wanted Rufus to have fun on the beach, since that's his favorite. This led us on a strange route that we've never taken before exactly: cut east at the tar paper shack, pick up the road just to the east of it heading north, push through to the hidden path that comes out on the main serpentine farther to the east and then straight to the swimming hole, the beach and home via the blue bag trail. Rufus came off the leash relatively early and was great throughout, as was everyone else. The ocean was a bit too churned up for much swimming but everone did some and had fun on the beach in general. A nice, mellow group on a pretty run.
