I took this group for a walk between the land bridges. I left with Ernie on the leash and kept him on until we were all the way across the second land bridge coming home; he really wanted to go jump in the "enchanted" charco and he was already breathing hard so what the hell. He had a blast regardless of the leash but maybe he'll be less limpy now. I put him back on the leash coming home on the dirty road (already too far ahead!). Otherwise everyone was off the leash and perfect. They waited for me to cross the road in both directions and listened throughout.
