To the beach at Au Soleil Couchant via the swimming hole: ~7k. This was a really good group. I let Tuesday off the leash at the swimming hole and left her off until we were past the wooden shack heading home; that's the longest she's been off the leash in so long I can't remember. I was considering leaving her off the whole way home but she started giving me that strange look over her shoulder as we got closer and everyone had been so good I didn't want the wheels to come off in the last 300m; she was good about it and was a good girl throughout. Everyone else was likewise great. The pace was high and we all had a good time.

Roni took this group out for a walk north towards the wooden shack via the coco trail. There is a pile of nasty rotting fish dumped by the side of said trail; I didn't see what it was when we were running home but a couple of my charges took a dip (Truman got a bath); on a walk it is harder to avoid and Monkey especially tarried there on their way north. On the way south Roni knew about it and kept them from jumping in but there is a bit of fishiness in the air around here right now... Otherwise this group was perfect, kept together and had a good time.

Martina took these two out for a walk north on the beach. She likes to find a shady spot and sit while her charges run around in the water and play and this suits everyone just fine.

Martina took these sisters out for a stroll, intending to head up the road to the beach at the maginot line; Luna and Twigs were on leashes, Mo was free since she's the best-behaved of the three. Unfortunately a group of dogs that hangs out to the north of the HoJo effectively blocked their way to the beach. It isn't clear if those dogs belong to the HoJo or are just wild up there (I'm guessing a bit of both); Martina wasn't sure of their reactions and Twigs and Luna were both quite adamant in wanting to go say "hi" so she wisely turned everyone around (Luna needed to be carried a bit). Even though it was an abortive attempt at a longer walk everyone did behave themselves well... sometimes this happens.
