To the beach and back at the tortuga sign: ~6k. Rufus and Cookie were both on leashes leavin and Rufus' hijinx were a bit much in the first 10m; too many other dogs got him too wound up. He settled down appreciably by the time we got to the shrimpery and it became less chaotic. Cookie was on the leash to the beach, where I let her off for fun in the water. She ran and swam like a champ all the way to Au Soleil Couchant and back. I had her on the hook again before we left the beach to continue to work with her; there are people and vehicles around now and I don't want her getting any bad habits. Everyone was really good and had a great time on a shorty.
