mid-morning walk:
Alice
Lucy
Shirley
Stella
Floyd
(5)

The canonical quick-one-to-get-Floyd-out around the cow pasture. Shirley has been nursing a sore leg, so she hadn't been out in a while and convincing her that we were on a WALK and not a RUN was a little difficult at first. Down the dead goat road Floyd became a bit listless all of a sudden. I gave him a lot of water, and we ambled down to the charco to cool off, but that wasn't it (although it was hot): he barely waded into the water at all, which is most unlike him, and he was dragging for most of the way home. I'm worried his Ehrlichiosis wasn't completely knocked out a couple of months ago, because this fits with what I've seen in that case before, so once we got home I gave him some doxycycline and am watching him. He's not showing any other signs, but it is possible he got it again or never completely got rid of it. I won't run him hard for a few days until I'm sure what's going on... kind of disturbing, he's usually such a monster. Stella is a pain in the ass, and smart as a whip (the two are related), and Alice rolled in something disgusting. Par for the course.
