morning run:
Eve
Godzilla
Truman
Chester
Jack
Daisy
Amber
Hazel
(8)
Southern charcos: ~8k. Amber left on the leash but she was off for about half of the run; I let her off and put her back on a few times, mainly to gauge how she's doing. She never tried to run away from me or keep me from putting her back on the leash but the last time I felt like she was getting a bit skittish so I left her on from the southernmost crossing to home. Hazel did really well. She was off the leash until we were leaving the monte towards the main road south; I put her on the other end of the leash with Amber because there have been a lot of motos and people around and I wanted her to be under control. Neither of them mind the leash; they both run well and don't try to dig their heels in or shake it off. The rest of them were angels the whole way. The monte was a bit buggy for the first time in weeks; the gestation period for mosquitoes must be about a week since that's how long it has been since there was rain. There is still a fair bit of standing water in the hollows everywhere.
GRADE: A
morning walk:
Zasu
Miles
Henry
Lucy
Bette
Tito
Frijolita
(7)
Roni took this crew out for a walk around the cow pasture the long way. Bette was on the leash the whole way to keep her from running too much; Roni said she was really good and didn't pull like a maniac or hurt her arm. Miles screwed around a bit at the beginning but he straightened up and was even in the lead on the coco trail coming home. Henry is feeling better now that he's on doxycicline (ehrlichiosis as it turned out); his leg doesn't seem to be bothering him now but we watch him. Everyone had a good time and behaved themselves.
