Northern charcos: ~8k. It was fairly harmonious getting out of the gate. Murci and Tori were on muzzles to keep barking and noise down before we left and Tori was on the leash to clamp down on shenanigans. Everyone's muzzles came off at the shrimpery and Tori came off the leash after we crossed the land bridge. They were all perfect the whole run. Elewah showed no signs of paranoia and stayed with the rest of us all the way to the gate coming home. Murci spent a couple kilometers on the leash for making an aggressive move towards a flamingo; she didn't actually chase it but she made it think she was going to and that's not allowed, either. She needs more leash.time in any event; she listens well but is so exuberant she forgets the rules and needs to be reminded. We came home the long way via the blue bag trail. One of the many older dudes nicknamed "Chino" was hanging out at the wooden shack as we were coming home and everyone was good. The pace was fairly high in places but Rita doesn't like to go too fast so we had to slow down a couple of times for her. She doesn't get but so far behind and could probably catch up if she wanted to but I wanted her to have a nice time. The charcos are still mostly fresh, at least the deeper ones, but things have dried out a little since their apex. The monte was beautiful and the bugs were only noticeable when we stopped.
