Swimming isn't his favorite thing so I walked with him a bit on the leash up the beach, letting him sniff stuff when he wanted and then picked him up and carried him in to swim many times along the way. The tabanos were bad in places. I know he would rather run but he's such a good boy and such good company that he remained upbeat and cheerful the whole time, only complaining a little when I dragged him in a couple of times (and who wouldn't - how rude). Good boy Archie.
