18.11.12

morning run:
Alice
Rita
Frijolita
George
Ernie
Maggie
Molly
Lex
(8)

Northern loop: ~7k (I think). We went to the swimming hole as though we were heading to the beach at A.S.C. or going to the hidden trail but then I took us east and south down the palapa road to the bag-end intersection, crossed there, went across the flats to the Jeep berm and ran home north and then south from the tortuga crossroads. It is a stormy day and the light was strange in the monte. Clouds were blowing in from the north while we were out there so it changed from sunny to overcast; this suited everyone, especially the heavier, slower dogs. Lex was in fine form and showed himself again to be a member of the Good Boy's Club. We passed an old man on a bike at the turn onto the coco trail coming home and there was not so much as a sniff in his direction from anyone. I had Molly on the leash for about half of the run; she was good when she was off. Not that many flamingos but a couple here and there.
GRADE: A

new arrival:
Bees
(1)

We appear to have adopted a hive of local bees. They appear to be Mayan sting-less bees. They seem to coexist just fine with all of the critters and they love our Moringa trees. Yay bees!
