Lily
Luna
Xmul
Mega
Hazel
Murci
Cookie
Roxy
(9)
Southern Charcos: ~8k. As long as Roxy is on the shorter leash having her and Xmul hooked up together works out okay... sadly I didn't start out that way (not sure what I was thinking), so I had to stop just across the land bridge and wrangle their gear, but after that it was fine. We kept a high pace the whole way - Roxy's amazing that way for such a short-legged little thing. We saw a lot of flamingos and altered our route several times to not disturb them. All of the crossings from the palapa road to the swimming hole were blocked by some very large flamingos - they were beautiful and seemed happy so we ran the length of the palapa road and went the long way around. Nobody minded: the pace was high and everyone really wanted to run. There was no misbehavior. Good group, nice run on a pretty day... even the bugs weren't bad.

morning pup-training walk:
Tupo
(1)
I managed to scoop Tupo up and take him out for a quick jaunt in the immediate surroundings. We tried the beach to the south at first but it's pretty gross and he found it a bit scary or at least off-putting: there are large mountains of stinking seaweed everywhere and the Gulf is errily calm and kind of strange right now. I decided that wasn't too much fun so we turned around and walked down to the shrimpery instead, which he liked much better. We jogged for little stretches and he ran with hilarious enthusiasm. Good boy Tupo!
