late morning jaunt:

To the tortuga sign and back: ~4k. It was hot, we went late and I just took whoever was out with Floyd. We killed most of the water and everyone wanted to rest under a bush at least once. The tabanos were terrible on the beach but the water was kind of nice - the black seaweed has mostly sunk to the bottom and when the tide is high it's okay. Everyone wanted to swim home because of the heat but I'm a meanie and made us run back through the monte.
