morning run:
Alice
Frijolita
Osita
Godzilla
George
Ziggy
Luna
Twiggy

To the beach at Au Soleil Couchant via the swimming hole: ~7k. This turned out to be a good group. It was Twigs' second three-legged run of roughly this distance and she did very well. I had her on the hook until we got close to the swimming hole; she ran like a lunatic on the tortuga road to catch up after screwing around somewhere and I didn't like her running so fast and out of control so I put her back on there. I put Luna on the other end of the leash at the shrimpery and walked us home down the trail under control and together. Alice and George both ran enthusiastically and everyone had a good time.

morning walk:
Zasu
Henry
Tito
Blue
Monkey
Linda
(6)
Roni took this crew out for a walk around the cow pasture. She started to go the long way down the dead goat trail but the bugs are ridiculous after 8am so she cut down the north fork next to the cow pasture and walked down to the water where the concrete markers are; she started to head around the bend to the north but again the bugs are just unreal, especially when you're walking, so everyone high-tailed it home down the dirty road. Monkey did a bit of screwing around when they got home but she came to the gate within a minute or two. Everyone was breathing hard and twitching from the bugs but obviously had a good time.
GRADE: A
morning swims:
Greta
Zasu
Gowron
Linda
Amber
Lex
(6)
I took Greta out for her morning swim and Roni came out with the other five a few minutes afterwards for a photo-op and general horsing around in the water. Linda needs a bit of work on listening; for such a little thing she is very influential with the other dogs and drags them around on the beach to do whatever she wants to do, it seems. Lex and Amber both swam with me and Greta; Amber was especially keen on coming out to get us. PupG also swam valiantly and I made sure Linda had to do a few laps out in the deep water. Zasu even came in after us at one point. The tabanos had their way with us all but it was fun anyway.
