16.08.15

morning walk:
Alice
Ginger
Rita
George
Otto
Shirley
Maggie
Ziggy
Molly
Roxy
(10)

I took this group for a brisk walk/jog in the monte to the north. Rita talked her way onto the walk as 10th dog because she's always good and really wanted to go. She's been suffering so much from her allergies that I always want to let her get out just for morale; also, since it rained hard yesterday the dust has been knocked down a bit and the water in the charcos is less salty, both of which are good for her (her dust allergy is terrible). We left with Molly and Shirley on leashes; I switched Molly for Roxy at the shrimpery and let Shirley off when we turned north to the wooden shack. We went the whole way to the tortuga road by cutting across the charcos to the north of the shack, turned east and took the road that runs just to the east of the nearest charcos, to the cut-over and home via the alt. land bridge. There was nobody working in any of the charcos closeby but you could hear a salt loader running farther to the north. Everyone was really good and had a great time.
