To the tortuga sign and back: ~2k. We were all tired this morning after an exhausting night; the dogs were spun up for various reasons and the heat and humidity never let either of us quite rest... welcome to August in Yucatan. Since we have to go to Merida tomorrow we still wanted to at least get Rufus out for a beach run. We left on the beach and did get barked at this time, by one of the strays at the army encampment. Everyone was good and ignored them. We ran and swam a bit past the tortuga sign, turned around and came home via the maginot line and the coco trail. Everyone was really good, swam their asses off on the beach and had a good time.
